UPDATED - Volvo S60L by CSM

I'm finally able to present you a couple more photos of the Volvo S60L scale model which I have already presented November 2014 (see here).

The Volvo S60L is a stretched version of the regular S60. This car is still pretty unknown here in Europe. This model is manufactured in China for the Chinese market. And it will probably be exported to the US market in 2015. The new S60L will replace the S80 in the future.

The Chinese company CSM offers this new Volvo model in 1:18 in two different colors :

seashell metallic - item # 9430836
crystal white pearl - item # 9430831

Both versions feature a nicely done two-tone interior as well as some working parts. This scale model is however only available in China. You may find a copy on one of the usual online auctions sites.

Functions:

the four doors, hood and trunk can be opened
both side mirrors can be folded
the inner layer of the sunroof can be slide forward and back, and the outer layer can be raised
the steering of the two front wheels and the steering wheel can be actuated in one control
both front seats can be moved forward and back
the front and rear wheels can be used to reduce vehicle vibration

Volvo 855 estate 'Taxi' by Wiking

Wiking has announced yesterday that they will release next month another Volvo 850 estate model in 1:87 (H0) scale. The upcoming model represents a Taxi (cab) as it may have been found on German streets back in the 1990's. The Volvo 855 estate in this 'Taxi' livery comes in the then usual German taxicab color ivory. The interior is all black.
This H0 scale model will be available for 9.99 € under item # 080012 (EAN 4006190800129).

Volvo S60 V8 Supercar '2014 AGP Winner' by Apex Replicas

The Australian company apex Replicas has announced on March 12 at 8:45am on their Facebook account that they will offer a newly decorated and limited Volvo S60 V8 Supercar model for September. The model will be available in 1:43 as well in 1:18 scale.

Apex Replicas will offer a special decorated model of the Volvo S60 V8 Supercar. And you will have the opportunity to have it signed by Scott McLaughlin who drives the car around the various circuits.

Rally Monte Carlo collection by Editions Atlas

Editions Atlas has released a new series for a Monte Carlo Rally Collection. The collection is available in the four Scandinavian countries Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The first models for this collection are:

a Saab 96 from 1963 driven by Eric Carlsson and Gunnar Palm (DK, NO, SE)
a Ford Escort RS 1600 MKl from 1973 driven by Hannu Mikkola and Jim Porter (FI)

first model in Finland

first model in Denmark, Norway and Sweden

There will be however also many other cars as well as some Volvo's. So far two models are shown: a Volvo PV544 Sport and a Volvo 122S Amazon. The complete lineup for this collection will be produced by Ixo in China for Editions Atlas. The 1:43 scale models are made of diecast with plastic parts and details.

As usual Editions Atlas will give you gifts with every of the first three models. They are:

The Australian company Apex Replicas has published a couple of days ago the first pics of the first painted and decorated pre-production models of the Volvo S60 V8 Supercar. These scale models do not feature any opening parts. Such features would have resulted in way too high prices since the production batch of these models is pretty small. Their latest delivery schedule previews the models to arrive next June. You can place your order now with any of their authorized Apex Replicas stockists or online on their own website.
