NEW RELEASES |
You will be able to find here news about the latest Volvo scale models which have been announced or just been released. |
A Volvo V70 decorated as Finnish Police car has recently been released in Police part-work collections in Bulgaria ( N°19 ) and Hungary ( N°22 ). The 1:43 scale model is offered by a distributor called Amercom. It is produced by Hongwell and has been available before. The white painted Volvo V70 features two large blue ribbons and opening front side doors. The car has 'Poliisi' marked on the right side doors and 'Polis' on the left side doors. This is due to the fact that Finland has two official languages : Finnish ( Poliisi ) and Swedish ( Polis ). The overall quality of the model is very basic.
The Police Collection has previously also been offered in Poland and Czechoslovakia but they have already been come to an end. I was not yet able to find the complete model list and/or release list. Release order in Bulgaria :

Neo Scale Models has announced a fourth color for the longtime announced but not yet released Volvo 780. The 1:87 scale model has been announced for the first time back in 2011. Well we might find one this year under the X-mas tree.
The Volvo 780 in beige metallic will be a special color release for minicar87 which is the H0-scale branch of Modelcarworld.
Source & copyright : Norev One of the upcoming models in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas will be a Volvo 480 Turbo USA. I have announced this model for the first time nearly a month ago. I can present you now the first photos of this scale model. The photos are showing a hand-painted preproduction model. The final model will only be available at the end of this year. Volvo had the intention to offer the 480 on the US-market but the car never made it across the Atlantic ocean. One reason were unfavourable currency exchange rates back in the second half of the 1980's.
