The number forty-eight in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas is the Volvo 360 GLE. This Volvo 360 from model-year 1988 is painted in a very attractive light green metallic (paint code 302) and features a 2-tone interior. This Volvo 360 GLE is made from a newly tooled mold. Volvo 360 scale models have been so far pretty rare in 1:43.

A magazine series called ‘Maşini de Legendă' (Legendary Cars) is being offered in Rumania since 2014 by DeAgostini. The whole collection will count a total of 120 different scale models when finished. The models are all made by Ixo in China. Each model cost 25,90 lei (Romanian New Leu) (~5.85 €). Model number 79 has been released September 24th, 2014. It is a 4-door Volvo P120 Amazon. The diecast model is painted white over blue and features a black interior. This is so far the first Volvo model which has appeared in that partwork collection. I don't know if another Volvo model will follow at a later date. Courtesy of Amazon65

The Volvo is painted white (paint code 189) and features a black leather interior. The license plate reads 'LNO 996'. As you may know I don't know much about Police cars. I can't tell you therefore if the decorations of this scale model are correct or not. Those of you who have paid attention to the release numbers may have noticed that model 48 is still missing. Number 48 (N° 8 506 048) will be shipped after this release which wears number N° 8 506 049. The reason for this switch are logistical issues in China. Update:

Yes you are reading correctly. I speak here about scale model trucks. I have to admit that I choose so far not to present trucks in my news. But there is rarely a rule without an exception. Editions Atlas has launched yesterday a test in Sweden for a collection of Volvo trucks. The collection will consist only of 1:43 scale diecast models. This is only a test to see if any interest among collectors - old and new - exists. Editions Atlas will develop such a collection if enough people are returning the postcard. A list for future models does not yest exist. The customers who will subscribe to this test will receive the shown model of the Volvo N88 in the livery of Swedish company Ramlösa. The scale model of this truck has been newly tooled for this release. This would be the first collection consisting of trucks from one single brand. So far only Altaya has launched a 1:43 scale truck collection in Spain and France featuring models from many different truck companies.  Editions Atlas has also launched the Volvo Collection in the French speaking region in Belgium. This part of Belgium is also called Walloon Region. Editions Atlas has launched the Volvo Collection already in March 2012 in the Flemish Region. The first model which you will receive will be the Volvo P1800 from model-year 1966. You can buy this 1:43 scale model for only 5.90 €. And you will not only receive the Volvo P1800 but also a poster as well as a booklet showing and explaining the history of this iconic car. The second release in Austria will be the Volvo Amazon with 4-doors and the third model will be the Volvo PV444. Each of the four first models will be delivered with a free gift. The subsequent models will be those who are actually being delivered in the four other countries where the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas had started back in autumn 2011.
