Volvo 242 Turbo Group A by Beemax

What a gem! Most of you will most probably know about this model since it has been announced earlier this year. Back in June we were allowed the first glimpses of this newly engineered 1:24 plastic model kit. The kit has just been released in Asia (China, Japan, ...) and should be available in the remaining world next month. The kit has been designed and produced by Beemax of Macau. Aoshima will distribute the model in Europe and America. This kit will allow you to built two different race versions of the famous Volvo 242 Turbo Group A model from the mid 1980's:

1985 Volvo Dealer Team Europe - winner InterTec race at the Fuji Speedway in Japan
1986 Kamachi - winner Guia race of Macau

The 1:24 kit features:

plastic parts
faithfully reproduced interior details (dashboard, rolling cage, ...)
with tapered tires corresponding to camber
silk printed decals (for both versions)
detailed instructions sheets
specific parts for each version

The kit is offered as BEEMAX No.16 and available under item number 098257 (JAN code 4905083098257). The official price tag in Japan are 4536 yen (JPY) (± €33.76 / $40.04) but you might find it a 'lil cheaper on the web. I don't know yet the official price tag for Europe. I would suggest you to add the available detail kit o your shopping list. It features various photo-etched detail parts which will upgrade the finished kit. It gets usually hard to locate 'em at a later date.

Volvo C70 by Bburago

Bburago has released a new 1:24 Volvo C70. The model is now available in the 'Collezione BIJOUX' product line. The model has not been improved. It is now being marketed under a different name and in some new colors. It has previously been offered as 'STAR Collezione' model ( see photos below ).

Volvo XC90 by Motor Zone

Motor Zone is selling this 1:24 set containing a Volvo X90 and a trailer with a caravan.

Two sets are available under article # 0964 :
one with the Volvo XC90 in burgundy and one in back.
