 Matchbox has recently released the second color of the Volvo V60. The very first color (painted blue) of this 3" model had been released in the Summer of 2016. The new release comes painted in a nice camel metallic. The paint suits the model pretty well even if it is darker as Volvo's actual paint scheme" luminous sand metallic" (719). The main regret in my opinion is that it is pretty hard to find this model in stores here in Europe. Yeah I do know there is still the web. But who wants to pay $ 14-18 for shipping a 3-inch model to Europe? Bare in mind that it is sold for couple bucks in the States. Courtesy of lamleygroup.com

 The first close-up photos of the upcoming Volvo V60 model by Matchbox have been published two days ago on the blog named 'the Lamley Group'. This photo set reveals a really nicely reproduced 3-inch miniature of Volvo's handsome estate. I hope Matchbox will bring us more Volvo models like this. The blue paint suits this Volvo V60 really well. This Volvo V60 may be available for late fall or early winter. I'm already pretty curious to see which other colors they will come up with. Matchbox has posted yesterday new pics of the upcoming Volvo V60 on their Instagram account. The result of their work is quite promising. Looking forward to this one.
Matchbox will release later this year a 3" model of the actual Volvo V60 (modeller 2015). A first prototype had been revealed last year at a Matchbox gathering. An unpainted prototype of this upcoming Volvo V60 has been offered last month by an Malaysian seller on eBay. That prototype was finally sold for 257 dollar on March 13, 2016.
Matchbox published earlier this year on their Instagram account a painted pre-production version of the Volvo V60. Seems that the first run will be painted red. More colour schemes will follow without a doubt. Matchbox will offer the V60 under the item number DJV37 for a couple €/$ in their Basic Line for 2016. Please stay tuned for further info's on this unexpected 3" model.

The all-new Volvo XC90 will be offered later this year as a 1:18 scale model by Welly. It will be available under Welly's label GTA. Welly offers more detailed scale models under that name. The price tag will probably turn around the 80-90 € (90-100 $) range. The first release of Volvo's actual XC90 will be painted blue. The item number will be gta11009b. The model will most probably be ready for this autumn. Welly showed earlier this year at the Toy Fair in Nürnberg that they will offer the XC90 also in two smaller scales: 1:36

Other well known toy fairs are held in New York (US), Chicago (US), Hong-Kong (CN) & Shanghai (CN). The usual manufacturers which are already known to produce Volvo models have once again showed some news. I guess teh most awaited model will be the Volvo S60 STCC as well as the Volvo V60 Polestar. Motorart presented a couple of pre-preduction models of these two models. Kalee electric ride one
This electric ride on is not a newly produced and/or announced model. I have presented this model back in 2012 click here. Minichamps Minichamps has a rather nice surprise by announcing a classic Volvo in 1:18 : the Volvo 240 GL. Minichamps will produce beside this newly tooled model a few longtime known 1:43 models in new colors. But what about release dates? How long are we already waiting for the fourth color of the Volvo P1800ES in 1:18? Way too many years in my eyes. 1:18

Neo Scale Models Neo Scale Models has presented only the Volvo 145 Polis which has already been manufactured and delivered to shops. But this doesn't mean anything. Their new company policy to announce models only when they are nearly finished and ready to be shipped to retailers and shops. 1:43

Oxford Diecast The British company Oxford Diecast has presented their first Volvo scale car. They have already a small number of modern Volvo trucks in their program. The first Volvo car they will offer is the classic 1st generation Volvo 245 estate. The model will be available in the very British scale of 1:76 which railroad modelers often call OO Gauge. The first color will be green. It might be in stock between April 2015 & June 2015. More color schemes will follow at a later date. 1:76 / OO Gauge
 Premium-X Models / Ixo / PCT Collectibles The label Premium-X continues with presenting photos of already announced Volvo models. There are however a few new models in between those : Volvo S80 in dark green metallic, Volvo 440 in silver metallic, Volvo 740 'Polis Stockholm' (S) and a red Volvo 855R. There will be certainly more news since they will offer every Volvo which will be offered in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas in new colors and/or liveries. WhiteBox The label WhiteBox showed three Volvo's. Two of them - the Volvo P1900 Sport and the 145 estate - have already been announced. But it is the first time that we can see a photo of an upcoming Volvo P1800Es in blue metallic. 1:43

The little diecast model is available in only one color which is dark red. But you can buy that model in two different packages. The first being a blister and the second a cardboard box with window. These models do cost only a couple of Euros or Dollars. The item numbers for this Volvo XC90 are: item # 11001 for the model in the box and item # 15044 for the blistered one. Majorette has released a set of three newly decorated models in their S.O.S. range. The 3'' diecast models come in the colors of these Czech emergency services : Ambulans, Policja and Straž. Every model features a black interior and comes packed in a blister on cardboard. They all wear the same item number : 21 205 7180 26. They are offered for 55.00 CZK ( ± 2.14 € / ± 2.87 $ ) on the web. Dickie Toys is offering two more Volvo XC60 models in their Speed Champs range. The 3'' scale models made of diecast are decorated in the colors of fictitious emergency service vehicles. Both Volvo's are part of a set which consists of the Volvo, a garage and a helicopter. Both sets are packed in a blister on cardboard.
