Released - Volvo Amazon by Oxford Diecast

Oxford Diecast has released the 1:43 scale Volvo Amazon which has been announced last year. The first release of the 4-door Amazon is painted light green and features a green interior. The model is available for £ 22.95 (± € 29.50) under item number VA001.
Many will say: why another Volvo Amazon? Is there not yet enough choice on the market? Well not if you're looking for a RHD (right hand drive) version. And this is where the British company Oxford Diecast steps in. Volvo sold their Amazon model in many countries where right hand drive is/was a standard. And correct scale models for RHD models are not that common.
There are still a few tiny things which I think are wort mentioning:

• the chromed trim in the light green version (first release) does not pop out as good as ob the red one
• the light green one (VA001) features a different grille as the red (VA002) one
• light green ( paint code 91) was offered in 1966 and 1967
  
• cherry red (paint code 46) was offered from 1962 until 1970
• I still can't tell the exact model year

Model description - quote from Oxford Diecast website:

The Volvo Amazon, designed in real life by Jan Wilsgaard as a large family car with a production life spanning from 1956 – 1970. The Amazon also appeared as a 2-door coupe?, 4-door saloon and a 5-door estate car, with a total production quantity of over 650,000, of which over 234,000 comprised the Amazon 4-door saloon version, the subject of our Oxford replica.
Decorated in pale green with a darker green interior, the vehicle is registered JHO 887E. The distinctive front radiator grilles are silver on matt black with additional exterior body trim finished in silver/chrome on a black chassis. The Volvo marque is printed on the rear, with a fine little finishing touch of a GB sticker.
