HELP WANTED |
This chapter is about weird models where I have not yet been able to find any kind of precise info's and where I do need your help! |
The company Marchesini which is also called AMB Marchesini has produced this Volvo delivery truck. The tinplate model has no resemblance with a real Volvo car that I know. But since Volvo is marked on the rear side, we have to assume that it was sold as a Volvo car. The model measures 9.5 x 3 x 4 cm ( l,w,h ). This specific model was sold for 217.50 € in an auction on the 2011-11-09. 'Nopri' was a franchised store chain in Belgium. The first shop opened in 1933. A total of 220 of these stores existed until the 1990's in Belgium. Nopri belongs to the 'Carrefour' group. Source : www.carrefour.eu/corporate/History The website leotoys.net shows more models from Marchesini. You can even see the same car in another livery. I would be pleased if someone could help me to find more infos about these models. Photos used with permission.

The Italian company INGAP produced a Volvo tinplate scale model in the 1950's. The model doesn't reflect a specific prototype. This brown ( even it it seems to be red on the picture ) scale model has a friction drive and black rubber wheels. It measures 14cm. I would be pleased if someone could help me to find more infos about this model and the company INGAP. Source & copyright : www.vectis.co.uk |
