NEW OLD MODELS FOUND |
The tag says it all. It's all about older models which I have discovered only recently. |
Here is yet another colour combination that I recently found. This time it concerns a Volvo P1800 made by Lone Star Impy. The white P1800 in 1:58 scale has an orange interior and comes packed in a window-box.
The Volvo P1800 by Lone Star Impy has been produced with three kinds of wheel : regular-knobby, regular-fine and flyers-mag. Various packaging versions do exist. One example is a plain white box which was sold on the US market. And Masaduya ( a Japanese wholesaler ) designed their own very attractive packaging for models sold in Japan which was a big market for the Lone Star Flyers ranges. And there are of course several colour combinations. Here you can read those that I'm aware off :

I found this Volvo 264 by Norev in a colour that I have never seen before. The 1:43 scale model is painted a nice yellow with a cream white interior. This is also only the second time I have seen a cream white interior in a Volvo 264 by Norev. They have most of the time a black one. The model car is packed in the blister with the plastic base.
I have been able to find two new versions of the Volvo 264 GL Taxi by Norev in 1:43 scale. The first is painted in a nice turquoise metallic and the second is a red one. Both have black interiors and are packed in the same type of blister. Other characteristics of these Taxi models are the white Taxi sign and the white antenna on the roof and the black sticker on both front side doors which reads : 'Taxi-Radio 830-86-86' _ Volvo 264 GL Taxi - turquoise metallic Volvo 264 GL Taxi - red with black interior
This Volvo 264 GL released as a Taxi was also available in these colours : - white - copper metallic - light green metallic - green metallic This gift set No. 41 by Corgi seems to be very sought-after by collectors. This set was sold for 531 GBP ( 634 € / 837 $ ) a few days ago.

Playart offered a Volvo 343 as a 3'' model in various colours : light green, green, blue metallic, copper brown and yellow. I just learned that the copper brown version was also available in a set named 'Super Ten'. The other models in the set are :

This is the 'Fire Chief' version which is quite scarce. The 1:24 tinplate model has a working round beacon on the roof and a detailed tin printed interior. The battery operated model works with a remote control connected by cable. The steering wheel is missing on this example. Photos used with permission.
