The same Swiss Volvo fan and Rob Eddie scale model collector has send me also the pics of this model. It is a Volvo PV60 from 1950. Rob Eddie once released a nearly identical model back in 1994 for Volvo Sweden in a limited edition of 500 units (item # RE 5z). That model represented however a Swedish Police (Polis) car. The model I show you today looks very much the same but is fitted with a roof-rack and an additional beam above the windshield. The sister of the Swiss Volvo fan bought this model directly from Rob Eddie in his shop in Sweden back in 1995 or 1996. It seems that Rob Eddie intended back then to offer this model in a small batch. Does anyone know if this specific model in light blue with the roof-rack and the additional roof light has been offered as regular release?Volvo PV60 'Polis' Courtesy of Peter M, CH

I recently meet a Swiss Volvo fan and Rob Eddie scale model collector while visiting a Volvo event in Belgium. He revealed me that he had some Rob Eddie models which were missing in my database. He was very kind an took a few photos of these models back at home in Switzerland. Both models I will present you here have been issued for Rob Eddie's 30th anniversary. This was back in 2007. Both models have a yellow circle on their roofs which contains the three yellow numbers: 1977, 30 and 2007. The inscription has been stamped onto the models. It is not just a decal. Both Volvo models, the PV4 and the Volvo 740 estate are limited editions of only 30 units each. This is certified by a small etched number-plate on the undersides of both models.
