Further info's regarding the GT models by Matchbox - quote from matchbox.wiki.com: Super GT (or Super G.T.) is a range of miniature models, based on older 1970s castings in which interiors are no longer fitted, the windows are solid in color, opening features are cast shut and the bases are black plastic. Some models have white glow windows, these include the glowing race track "Streak Racing" models. The original name for the line was to be the "Budget Range" and models were designated with "BR". Model names are taken from the original name, but do not appear on the castings. The models were sold single or with launcher, and in gift sets. The line was introduced 1985 and ran trough 1988, between 1985 and 1987 the line was made in England, after in China. For 1988 all were recolored. In 1990 some models were reissued in neon colors and named "Neon Racers". These are denoted with "NR".

I came across this older Matchbox MBX Metal set featuring a Volvo XC90 and two other cars. It is not yet listed in the database. This 3-car set dates back to 2006. The three 3-inch diecast models are from top to bottom:
 I have discovered earlier this year another Matchbox set which features a Volvo model. It is a Matchbox 10-pack set dating back to 2007. The set consists of ten very different 3-inch scale models. The models are offered in a blister fitted into a window cardboard box which allows a free sight to all of the models. The featured Volvo is a white painted C30. The complete set contains the following ten models:
I recently saw in an auction a 5-car set by Matchbox featuring a Volvo C30. This set was released back in 2008 under the name 'Modern Rides'. This blue painted 3'' Volvo C30 model can be found with 8 or 10 Spoke wheels.It is made in Thailand.

This is another big set offered by Matchbox and including a Volvo 760. This one has been offered under the name 'Super Value Pack'. It contains a total of 20 different models. The Volvo 760 is red and features a black interior. This 20-car 'Super Value Set' was offered by Matchbox back in 1989. The box measures 15" x 15" ( 38x38cm ). I have recently found a box by Scalextric featuring a set of two 1:32 scale slotcars. One is the Volvo 854 already known from other sets and a Peugeot 406. I was not able to find out more details about this slotacr set.           Photos used with permission.

      I have just discovered another 10-car set by Matchbox featuring a Volvo. This set is labeled 'Showroom Models' and has been released in January 2010. This set comes with a medium blue painted Volvo P1800. The set features nine regular cars and as bonus an exclusive vehicle which is a yellow Chevy Camaro SS-396. This golden brown paint scheme is new for this set. It has not been available before. The interior of the model is black. The 3'' model has a diecast body and a plastic bottom plate.
