Nice surprises still occur. Just have a look at this model of a second generation Volvo S40 (2004–2012) steel frame. This rather unusual model has been commissioned by Volvo as demonstration model and has been shipped to each Volvo dealership in the United States. A total of 380 units have been shipped across the Sates. The scale of this model is somewhere around 1:5 and 1:6.

A Taiwanese company called GS Racing has released a few years ago a Volvo S40 model. The 1:10 scale model was offered as rtr version with chassis and as clear and painted body. All versions were released in the GS Racing - Vision range.
It seems that silver and blue painted bodies were also available as you can see on the following photos. But I haven't found much infos about further versions. Any help is warmly welcome.

I was told today by the Polish dealer and distributor modele.sklep.pl that GS Racing is updating their product lines as well as reorganizing the company. In 2014, we may expect new cars, new TX/RX systems, new engines, new bodies, new updated chassis of each car’s class, and also – the very new website. A seller from Israel is offering several Volvo scale models representing Police cars from Russia and Belarus. The 1:43 scale models are apparently custom made in the Ukraine. The seller did not want to share more infos and did not want to reveal more details about the various versions. The Police cars are based on redecorated models by Minichamps and Motorart. The level of details and the quality of the decals are of a very high standard. This is also reflected in the price tag. The average cost for a model are 80 €.
