Roland Kirpis from Riga (LV) had the idea of modeling his actual family car with Lego bricks. The idea resulted in the one off model shown on the following photos. You won't be able to buy yourself a copy. But I'm sure you will agree that this model is so well finished that it has his place here. Roland has built his Lego-Volvo totally from scratch. He has achieved to reproduce the silhouette of the car and he has even succeeded to include many working parts. Lego is however offering a free software which helps you to design whatever comes to your mind. Lego calls it Lego® Digital Designer. A few closeups :

This V50 is approximately 30 cm long.

My brother is a huge Volvo fan and the proud owner of a v50. Would it be able to receive a building instruction? It would be the ultimate birthday present for me to give to him!
