BoS-Models has announced end of Mai a H0 replica of the Volvo P1900 Sport. The 1:87 scale model will be made out of resin model with no moving or opening parts. BoS-Models has released a photo of the P1900 finished in blue with white interior. I can't tell you if this photo shows the final production model or a pre-production hand-sample. But you can be sure that BoS-Models will release further paint schemes in the future. A precise release date is not yet known. You will have to spent € 19.95 for being able to add it to your scale model collection. You will be able to order it directly from ModelCarWorld's web-shop. I am personally looking forward to this model and I really hope that it will be a proper replica of the original car. The P1900 is one of the few Volvo models not well known by the grand public. It was and still is a very lovely design and it is a shame that production ceased after only 68 built cars. The P1900 had, as did the Corvettes, a body made out of polyester. The body was reinforced with fiberglass and was mounted on a tubular-steel chassis.

The German wholesaler and importer Modelcarworld has released at the end of last year another 1:18 scale Volvo model under their own label BoS-Models. BoS stands for Best of Show. The latetst release is a second run of the already known Volvo PV445 Duett. A first run had been released back in 2015. The new release features a nice red over white over red paint scheme. The interior is all black. The first run was offered in the nicer two-tone interior version. This resin model doesn't feature any opening and/or moving parts with the exception of the wheels. You can buy you a copy of this 1:18 Volvo PV445 Duete replica if you are fine spending € 119.95.

 It was common knowledge among good informed Volvo collectors that BoS-Models has been working on an 1:18 scale version for a Volvo Amazon Estate model. The just released miniature is representing the Amazon Estate from model-year 1965. The rtr model is painted cream and features a red interior which results in a nice color combo which suits this replica quite well. This model is made out of resin and does not feature any opening parts. This is the first model offered by BoS-Models which does not come with a German license plate. You can buy a copy of this limited scale model for 119.95 € under item number BOS176 (Nr. 200850). This is a price increase of 20 € or 20% compared to the previous three Volvo models produced for and offered by BoS-Models. BoS stands for "Best of Show". BoS-Models which is a label of the big German company modelcarworld.de has released the model of a Volvo PV445 Duett. What makes this rather special is the fact that it is a resin model in 1:18. Volvo's Duett has so far been popular among scale model manufacturers who offered most versions in 1:43 and 1:87 (H0). But any Duett in larger scales was until now just offered in tiny numbers by small producers who hand made them and offered them in rather confidential channels. BoS-Models has chosen to reproduce model year 1956. This resin model comes in the well known and attractive paint scheme blue over light gray over blue. The bi colored interior consists of white and red seats. I guess more color versions will be released in the future. This first release can be purchased under item number 193756 for 99.95 € plus shipping. The above photos show the model as it has been presented on this years Toy Fair in Nürnberg.
BoS-Models has released two 1:18 scale Volvo's prior to this one. The first was the Volvo 240 estate and the second the Volvo P1900 Sports. All three models are produced in China but I can't tell you by which manufacturer.
Many comments have been left regarding the P1900 by BoS-Models. There are the ones who just love that this models has been released in 1:18. And there is the other group who would have preferred to see another Volvo in 1:18. I don't have the model myself but I can tell from the photos that this resin model is gorgeous. BoS-Models has decided to offer us the model painted yellow and in combination with a red interior. The scale model is now available under item # 193563. The official retail price is 99.95 €. You can buy it exclusively at ModelCarWorld's web-shop. The shortcut BoS stands for 'Best of Show'. The French company OttOmobile has helped developing some of the models for BoS-Models.
