Brekina has enlarged their product range by adding a few new liveries to their Volvo P210 Duett lineup. All of the six new liveries are offered in Brekina's top of the line range called "Top Decoration" (TD). Most noticeable are surely the three Duett panel vans with liveries featuring Swedish companies.

 The Swiss wholesaler and importer Arwico has released at the end of last year a set of a Volvo 144 and Volvo 145 as used by the Swiss Cantonal Police forces of Basel (Kantonalpolizei Baselland). The first duo consists of specially decorated plastic models made by Brekina. These H0 (1:87) models are offered in a specially decorated window cardboard box. This first set is offered for CHF 39.90 incl. VAT (± € 37/ ± $ 39). Arwico did not want to reveal me how many sets have and/or will be offered. I was told that they normally don't share this kind of info. Arwico sells this set only in Switzerland. Their item number is 52.92957 and Brekina's item number is BRK 92957. Two more sets will follow this year:
A precise release date has not yet been communicated. Set # 52.92957 – Kantonalpolizei Baselland (Cantonal Police Baselland) As you can see from the above photos showing the original Police cars not every detail has been fitted to the scale models. It would have preferred to see Arwico going to the very end and finalizing further details. Brekina has already produced some very exiting as well detailed cars. My educated guess is that the budget reasons have limited the amount of details. Upcoming sets:
Brekina has just announced that they have produced a new run of the Volvo Amazon models which has been offered since 2002. Each of the three body versions (2-door, 4-door and estate) are each offered in two new color combos. The new releases are available in new color combos and are offered in Brekina's top of the line product range called TD which stands for Top Decoration. It is just a shame that Brekina does not provide more correct paint schemes.

They have announced in their just published newsletter for Mai that they will offer therefore 35 special sets. Each set features several already known models. These sets will be available during a limited time and each set will cost 35 € which seems to be quite a saving. You will be able to save from 20% up to 45%. Two sets will be interesting for the Volvo fans. They are:
   Each of the models available will be in the model line TD. TD stands for "Top Decoration" and means that each model labeled as such does have white wall tires, chromed window frames, two-tone paint, or various other more detailed parts and/or decorations.

NMJ has released a Volvo P210 Duett Police car based on a photograph which they found online in an digital archive. The car represents a car once used by the Norwegian Police. The 1:87 scale model is made in co-operation with Brekina. The model has been exclusively made for NMJ and their retailers. The Police car has already been produced in April and was delivered in May this year. It is available at NMJ, NMJ Sweden, NMJ Europa and all their retailers for 139.00 Kr ( ± 17 € / ± 23 $ ). Brekina has published their news folder already a few days ahead of the Toy Fair in Nürnberg. A little over 150 new models and decorations will be released. So far only two new Volvo scale models are shown. They are a P210 and a P210 panel van each in the 'TD' ( Top Decoration ) finish line :
