A person from Singapore offers a bunch of 1:43 Code-3 models. Most are more or less exact replicas of cars used in and around Singapore. Among all these versions are three different Volvo models. The Volvo's are based on modified models by Motorart. Each model is made with customized water-slide decals, light-bars as well as other details. My objection is that these models have on issue: these are all right-hand steered scale models but they drive on the left side of the road in Singapore! This is due to its British colonial history which led to British driving rules being adopted. A guy in Great Britain offers some left-hand conversions for modern Volvo scale models but I guess the guy behind Singapore Scale Models is not aware of this. The 1:43 scale diecast model is already available at the show in Paris and here. You can choose between two different colors : raw copper metallic and electric silver metallic.

Two new 1:43 scale models are available on Volvo's merchandising webshop. The XC60 and the XC70 are always offered in a new color.

 Volvo XC70 The all new Volvo V40 which has only been presented as World Première in Geneva on March 6th is now available as 1:43 scale model. The new V40 will replace the previous S40 and V50 in Volvo's model line-up. Motorart is offering the new V40 scale model in blue metallic and white metallic. The official price tag is 37.70 €.

The Volvo V60 'VOR' ( Volvo Ocean Race) by Motorart is already in the stores for several weeks but I received mine only a few days ago.The paint is great with just two tiny dust spots. The window frames fit well. My model was however not well assembled. There was a gap between the rear body and the rear bottom spoiler ( see the last picture ). After pulling apart the model to fix the wrong assembly, I saw that the steering wheel is much to low by even touching the seat. And one of the side mirrors is also not correctly mounted. It has also a lot of tiny light round spots on the bottom. These are in the end not big issues. But since the price tag goes up steadily, the quality should also improve.
