I have received over the last days a few newsletter from various retailers in Europe announcing new 1:43 Volvo scale models from IXO's product line Premium-X. A few even pretend that the models will be released this June. I doubt if this will happen because IXO hasn't yet released the blue PV544 (CLC205) which they announced already over a year ago. None of IXO's official websites provides infos about these announcements at this time. Here is a short overview of the announced models :
The price tag for one model will be between 32 and 37 €.
I will update this post as soon as I have been able to find more infos about these models.

Two new 1:43 scale models are available on Volvo's merchandising webshop. The XC60 and the XC70 are always offered in a new color.
 Volvo XC60
 Volvo XC70 It has been a while since the last release of a Volvo scale model by Minichamps. They experienced the same problems with delayed production as most other toy companies over the few years. It seems however that new models will be ready for shipping to the customers in a few weeks. The following models who have been announced two years ago are listed to become available in July 2012 :  Volvo 121 Amazon Break - model-year 1966 - black - with black interior - item # 430171016  Volvo 121 Amazon 2-door
- model-year 1966 - bright blue ( light blue ) - with black interior - item # 430171007 Here are a couple of Volvo XC90 scale models that have been issued for the Polish market. The models are distributed by the Polish company Hipo S.J. who is a toy wholesaler in Poland. The models are the same than those sold under the name 'Teamsterz'. So far 3 different models are known :

Since the first release , a Volvo 245, is an excellent model, I guess the second will be as good as the previous one. The kit for the Volvo 244 will probably be ready in two weeks. Today I have the pleasure to present you a more unusual Volvo scale model. It is a 1:25 scale Volvo 245 model kit made of printed cardboard. The very detailed kit represents a model from the last generation which was produced from 1986 until 1993. The idea for such a kit came from Marcin Barański, a Polish Volvo fan. The kit has been designed and realized by Lukasz Fuczek who is a well known paper modeler. The printed paper sheets for one kit are offered as soft cover booklets which can be purchased for 9.90 € & shipping.

Each model is limited to 100 units and has been exclusively produced for a retailer called Lovbakke Traktor og MC. If you check both websites, you will however notice that 3 different models are shown :
Only the yellow 'Norsk Vegmuseum' and the 'Brøyt' versions are shown on the Lovbakke Traktor og MC website. But Neo Scale Models shows the 'Norsk Vegmuseum' in yellow and orange but labels the orange one as the 'Brøyt' version. Another issue is that Neo Scale Models announces these models as Volvo PV445 Duett which is again wrong. They are rather Volvo P210 Duett panel vans. I will update this post as soon as I have been able to clear up all these issues. The tenth model in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas is a gold metallic Volvo 262C Bertone with black vinyl roof. The model reflects a car from the first production run that has been produced from 1977 to 1979. The color combination that Editions Atlas has chosen for their scale model has however never been available in real. Please refer to the quote below for further informations.
