The Volvo Amazon 122S which has been announced in the collection called 'Les Classiques de l'Automobile' is experiencing some delays. The model was scheduled to be released during week 23. But the Volvo has been moved from N° 87 to N° 94. The Volvo has in fact been swapped with the Citroen BX 16 TRS. The collection is offered by Editions Hachette in France and the Volvo Amazon 122S will be produced by IXO. The models of this collection can however only be purchased in France at news-stands. The price of a model together with the French automobile magazine Auto-Plus is 13.99 €. The first model of the collection - a 1966 Citroën DS 19 Pallas - was released in February 2010.
Click here to see the complete model list : The Volvo PV544 from the collection named 'Fantastic car and vehicles of Blake et Mortimer' has been released two days ago. The car appeared in the episode 'The Sarcophagi of the Sixth Continent'. The model is N° 58 in this series which started as a test back in 2010. The collection is giving an overview of the various mythical engines from the Blake and Mortimer cartoons. Every model comes with a booklet tracing back their history. This collection is called 'Les Classiques de l'Automobile' which simply means 'classic cars'. By watching at the complete model list you will notice that there are many French cars. But you will also find cars from many other countries. The oldest being a Chrysler Airflow from 1936 and the newest is so far a 2010 Audi Q7. The Volvo Amazon 122S will be produced by IXO and should be available during week 23 of 2013. The models of this collection can however only be purchased in France at news-stands.
