Not yet sure how to transmit your car virus to your youngsters? Well this new release by Volvo might do the trick. Your kidz can drive in a cool miniature of a classy modern ride. Volvo makes it possible and allows you to buy your kidz a replica of Volvo's actual luxurious and top of the line ride.

This electric ride-on version of Volvo's new XC90 model is either available in black or white. The interior consists of a nice tan colored ensemble. Even the modern and minimalist dashboard has been faithfully reproduced including wood veneer. And the best of all is the price tag ... it is way more affordable as the real thing. But yeah indeed I have to admit that €555.40 incl tax is not a really a bargain.

Volvo 242GT body by APlastics

The young and small Ukrainian company APlastics is offering an 1:10 scale body of the Volvo 242GT. This clear lexan body will fit to all standard 1:10 chassis like Yokomo DRB/DIB, Tamiya TT-01, HPI Sprint 2, ...
The body is offered for $37.00 (± €33.38) in their own web-shop. The product number is for once very easy and straight forward! It is simply " 242GT". The company ships their products worldwide. Please check their website for any further details.
APlastics model program features also some interesting detail parts (air filters, radiators, inter-coolers, etc ) which allows you to reproduce a drifting car.

Updated - Volvo XC90 r/c model

Volvo's merchandising department goes on with their model offensive. They have recently released another model of the latest Volvo XC90. This time it's a R/C model in 1:14 scale. It is either available in black or white for €49.40 incl tax.
Item numbers:

The Chinese company Rastar is producing this r/c model. The model is badged as a T6 version.

Volvo S60 STCC R/C race car by Polestar

Polestar has announced yesterday the official release of the Volvo S60 'STCC' as R/C model in two different scales. I have presented the 1:14 version last month here on minivolvo. The second and larger 1:10 version is now also available in Polestar's official webshop. An R/C model in 1:10 scale is without a doubt a big model. The larger version is intended for outdoor use and the smaller 1:14 version for indoor use.

You can get yourself a model for €277,05 under item number 7600040-500-000. This is of course everything but a bargain. But don't forget that this one is a huge model and it comes with many great features:

Volvo S60 STCC race car by Polestar

Polestar has released this week the first scale model of the actual Volvo S60 STCC race car. It is a 1:14 scale R/C model. It is a rtr (ready to run) model so you can run it out of the box. It comes with multi-channel pistol-grip controller which allows you to run several cars. This R/C model is available for €138,80 under item number 7600012-500-00.

Volvo S60 STCC by Motorart

Motorart has published the first photos of the Volvo V60 STCC as 1:14 R/C model. This model is the first out of two Volvo V60 STCC (Swedish Touring Car Championship) versions announced by Motorart. The Swedish company presented the first pre-production models earlier this year at the Toy Fair in Nürnberg. Another 1:10 R/C model as well as a 1:43 scale model are in the pipeline.

This scale model represents the car with the number 1 which is raced by Swedish driver Thed Björk during this years STCC season. This battery operated R/C model is made out of diecast. It is a realistic and accurately replicated miniature of the actual race car. Motorart says that it is a collectors item which is not suitable for children under 14 years of age. You can this R/C model under item # 7600012. An official retail price has not yet been published.

This 1:32 scale Volvo XC90 R/C monster truck is decorated as a US Police car and is offered on Amazon.com for only 10.95 €.

The model is produced by a company named World Tech Toys. This company has his headquarter in California and is offering a large variety of R/C models.

Volvo 245 body shell for R/C cars by Kamtec

Kamtec offers a nice Volvo 245 body shell for R/C cars.
Since this one is intended for banger racing ( stock car racing ), the model is not a perfect reproduction of the real car. But that is certainly not the goal if you eventually intend to crash your toy.
