Volvo Amazon break by Rob Eddie

Brooklin Models has just released two new Volvo Amazon break models under their Rob Eddie label. The two white metal models are based on the old RE 10 castings. These have however been upgraded with added strips down the side, wipers and door handles. The models are painted in two new colors and each is decorated with humble decals to represent service cars of the gasoline companies ESSO and Koppartrans. Both cars have exclusively been made for Rob Eddie AB in Sweden ( Robeddie Modellbilar, Odengatan 38, S-113 51 Stockholm, Tel : +46 86124776 )

Volvo PV445 Ambulance by Rob Eddie

Brooklin Models and Rob Eddie have surprised us with this new release. It represents a Volvo PV455 ambulance with long wheelbase. The 1:43 white metal model has not been announced earlier. It has been exclusively produced for Rob Eddie in Sweden and only he and the Dutch shop Model Cars Bergselaan are selling this model. It is available for 89 € under item number RE35x. This model is limited to 130 units. It is a new body with an even longer wheelbase as the hearse which has been produced a few years back.

The folks at Brooklin Models had even to design larger boxes because of the size of the ambulance. Brooklin Models has started a whole new line of ambulance models. Most are of course of American origin. Click here to see the various designing and production steps of an iconic model.

Volvo 145 Express Ambulance by Rob Eddie

Brooklin Models has produced a third and final model in their Rob Eddie product line this year.

It is a Volvo 145 Express rebuild as ambulance. Such a car was used by the Belgian company FN.

The real car belonged many years to the private collection of Jos Willemsen who lives in Zungert ( Netherlands ).

This is certainly why Jos ordered such a scale model. The limited production run of only 130 models will be available at his online store Wilpac.nl

The 1:43 scale model with item number RE15X is offered for 99 €.

The scale model has seen numerous modifications to reflect the real car. The rear seats have been removed to make place for the patients. The red roof has one single blue beacon on it. Seven decals have been applied to the model ( 2x 'Ambulans' on the sides and 5 red-cross logos on the windows).

Brooklin Models has released two new models in their Rob Eddie line of products.

Both models come decorated as Fire Chief cars.

Quote from the Rob Eddie website :
The RE4x and RE 24x will both be fire chief vehicles, both red (though slightly different shades) and will both have roof racks with ladders on.

They feature a roof rack with a ladder and a siren. These details are unfortunately missing on the photos that you will find below.
The Volvo PV802 has also a big bell mounted in front of the right front side door.
