UPDATED - Volvo 440 Politie (NL) by Editions Atlas

Here are finally the first photos showing the Volvo 440 Politie (NL). This one will be released very soon in Sweden as next model in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas.

I was surprised to read many negative comments about this release. But think of it this way : the initial collection would have come to an end with the previous model. Editions Atlas has opted to expand the collection to 45 models. This release serves in my eyes as buffer before new molds will be ready for the production process. Developing a new scale model takes more than just a couple of days.

Yes Michelle you're right.

Just for example, we are now working on the mould of issue 41, delivery is planned in July 2014...

Thank you all for your understanding and fidelity !

The real car was scanned 2 or 3 months ago, now we are working on the digital files, the model should be produce in February/March, the shipment needs 3 months cargo to arrive in Europe and then we can dispatch them to our customer.

I'll do soon a report on how the whole process of doing a scale model is working.

It is very positive that Mr. Atlas has taken interest in this site, and I think Michelle gets well earned recognition.
Looking forward to the report from Mr. Atlas, but I guess most of us know that making a product of any kind is no one day job.
Nice to hear that the new goal is 60 models, I hope there will be more of the really old types, the ÖV4 was very nice. More like that!
I believe that newer model years are not possible due to Volvo's own suppliers of model cars, but there's is plenty of rare cars to choose from anyway. And still room for a few (but not many) specialized cars. So as I said in the previous thread, I'm looking forward to upcoming items!

Hey Mr. Atlas!
Great to hear that there will be more models :)
But I would like to ask that, is there going to be any military vehicle models coming? TP21,C30x,BV202 Bandvagn etc. etc.??

Mr Atlas is about to finalize the upcoming batch of new models with the manufacturer in China.
I'm sure we will receive more infos anytime soon.
