Volvo 145 Express Taxi by Editions Atlas

The number forty in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas is a Volvo 145 Express Taxi. It was produced from 1970 to 1972. I'm sure that it might not be too difficult to guess why this type of Volvo may have been very popular in Scandinavia for transporting children from and to schools. The scale model is painted in the typically yellow paint used for Taxis. The official code for this paint is 62. It is simply called 'Taxi yellow'.

Three times a 145 Express (including the upcoming Ambulance) is a little too much of that kind! There are more interesting models in the Volvo history...

A nice model indeed. But I wonder, shouldn't there be a Skolskjuts (School ride) sign at the rear also? I am sure buses had them, but taxis? Does anyone from Sweden remember?
Interesting to hear about the ambulance, I hope it will be different enough to be worth having although it is hard to refuse....

The ambulance has the lettering 'Ziekenauto'. That is Dutch for 'Ambulance'... Maybe it will be different for other countries.

There will be no more Volvo 145 Transfer.
The Volvo Collection will 'only' count two different versions : N° 29 and the latest release which is N° 40.

There will be indeed an ambulance but that will be a Volvo which has never been made before.

Yes the other 145 Express Dutch Ambulance in announced by the brand PremiumX, it wont be in the Atlas Volvo Collection.
