Volvo 960 GLE by Editions Atlas

The number thirty-six in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas is a Volvo 960 GLE. This 1:43 scale model reproduces a face-lifted model as it was introduced by Volvo in 1994 for the 1995 model year. The light taupe/beige/gold metallic ( code #411 ) painted car in combination with the cream leather interior created an elegant as well as discreet vehicle. The 960 was Volvo's most luxurious car in the 1990's. This diecast model features a closed glass sunroof and it is equipped with the standard 16'' Mercurius alloy rim.

My first impression.... Too big wheels.Sun roof looks also looks strange.(too big)

I agree, the the first thing that catches the eye are the large hub caps (and the wheels, I guess).
Otherwise the 960 is a nice choice, and it looks accurate. It will be a fine addition to my collection.

I think the wheels are correct with the 3-litre engine, the 2,5 engine had other rims.

It's indeed a tiny error on this pre-production model.

Don't forget that such models are painted by hand and they mainly serve to have an idea what the production model might look like.

And they give you the opportunity to detect eventually small errors which can still be corrected before the model goes into the final production.

Good reproduction.
I have one!
License plate OK
Sunroof OK
Wheels: 16" offset 43 OK
(first 960 (1995) have wheels whith 15" offset 25)

The first reproduction of 960 after Neo (but front face different)
So, a new model in my collection.

Maybe after front facelift?
So it would be rather Volvo S90 and not Volvo 960?

thanks for your comments, as Michelle told You the picture are a handmade preproduction sample to validate the productions, some details will be changed.

Kikou, in this shape the car had both names 960 at the beginning and S90 for the last produced models.
