Volvo Concept Coupé & Volvo P1800 by Norev

The Volvo Concept Coupé and the Volvo P1800 which Norev has recently released as expensive resin models will also be made as diecast versions. These diecast versions should be ready in a few months. Estimated date of arrival is Januay 2014. They will be available between 35 and 39 € whereas the resin ones do cost 127 € a piece.

The Volvo Concept Coupé will be available in silver gray metallic under item number 870040. The Volvo P1800 will be available in red under item number 870003.

Both photos on your right do show the models made out of resin.

The P1800 by Norev will be produced in red, instead of creme.

Hi Michelle,

The cream P1800 by Norev is in fact a model of P958-X2 (the 2nd P1800 prototype) after it was converted by Volvo as much as possible to a production look. However, the prototype colour was maintained. This explains the unusual colour combination (cream with grey interior) and the Jensen wheel covers which are body colour bordered.
The converted P958-X2 is now at the Volvo Museum and was also shown in Frankfurt besides the Concept Coupé.

The Norev model is much more cream than the beige colour pictures on internet would suggest and can be bought at Belgian Volvo dealers for 85,91 EUR incl. VAT

The cream P1800 by Norev is not the first model of a P1800 prototype a collector can buy. The first is the Corgi Toys 228, which in fact is a model of the Jensen built X1PP (Pre Production) with the typical "V" on the front grille, rear cow horn bumpers, split number plate lights and the styling of the letters "VOLVO" at the rear.
