Volvo V40 phase II by Editions Atlas

The number thirty-three in the Volvo Collection by Editions Atlas is a Volvo V40. The scale model reflects the phase II version which was commercialized between 2000 and 2004. It is offered in a silver gray metallic paint and features a black interior. The photos of the scale model are underexposed and do show the model in this rather dark paint. The 1:43 scale model does come in the correct shade. This Volvo V40 is the first new form offered since Editions Atlas has decided to enlarge the Volvo Collection to a total of 60 models. Many more new castings will follow next year.

Hi,
No you won't be able to buy this model in a regular way.
But you might be able to find a copy on one of the well known auction sites.
It may be that IXO will release this V40 in another color next year. But I can't guarantee you this info.

Hello!
Must write some thougts about Edition Atlas, think it´s a waste to give out different coulors i am satisfied with one P 1800 ES for example still waiting for the P 1900 and the 145 Automatic that makes the Classic Collection complete for this reason me and my friends are going to return every newsending until the missing cars appears then we quit collecting. Any one else that feels the same?

Well I'm sure hat nobody wants the same car in a few versions.

But Editions Atlas did this choice since they decided twice to enlarge the collections.
The 2-3 models offered in two different colors and/or decorations were needed to fill the gap which is needed to design and produce new models.

Hej Werner,

You haven't precisely mentioned which model-year you're interested in But in any case the choice is more then limited.
There is in fact no 1:18 scale model of any of the V40 around and I doubt that there will be one in the coming years.

You may have to stick with one in 1:43.
